The objective of the course is to promote the concept of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), within the framework of sustainable development. The course guides participants in identifying the main principles of the EIA process and the phases of its development. The course also elaborates different issues raised during the preparation of EIA studies.

EM102 Introduction to Environmental Economics (English and Arabic)
This online training course aims at introducing an economics perspective to environmental problems and environmental policy. Its ultimate goal is to highlight that the value of the environment can be estimated and integrated into decision-making processes to help deliver sustainable development. It is not intended to replace the need for undertaking a more formal training in environmental economics, more to provide an awareness of what environmental economics is about.

EM101 Introduction to Indicators (English)
This Course aims to identify Indicators as an important tool, based on quantification, used to simplify the complexity of the real world and so make information more understandable and easier to communicate.
In sustainable development, indicators are used to measure many things, from water quality to progress towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals or the Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development. They can also provide an early warning to prevent economic, social and environmental damage.

تهدف هذه الدورة الى التعريف بالمبادئ الاساسية لتغير المناخ. وتناقش الدورة أسباب حدوث هذه الظاهرة، وإجراءات الحد من أثار تغير المناخ، وأساليب التكيف مع التغيرات المناخية، ورد الفعل العالمى لمواجهة آثار هذه الظاهرة.

EW 101 Introduction to E-waste Management (English)

This course has been developed by CEDARE and UNEP/ROWA. The objective of this course is to to build capacity of practitioners and decision makers to guide and handhold them to plan, design and implement WEEE/ E-waste management including policy, collection, transportation and treatment in a city/geographical area and country.

IWRM 101 Integrated Water Resources Management (Arabic)
The objective of the course is to promote the concept of the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), where the sectors depending on the use of such important resource such as agriculture, irrigation, drinking water, sanitation, and industry are considered affected by and affecting water and environmental resources that is needed for sustainable development.
Duration: 2 weeks

تهدف هذه الدورة الى التعريف بمفهوم الادارة المتكاملة للموارد المائية والمبادئ الاساسية لها حيث تعتبر الانشطة المرتبطة بالموارد المائية من زراعة ورى وخدمات مياه الشرب والصرف الصحى و صناعة من أهم الانشطة التى تتاثر وتؤثر على الموارد المائية و البيئة فى ذات الوقت. لذا فانه صار من الضرورى تكامل المنظور فى ادارة الموارد المائية ووضعها ضمن إطار التنمية المستدامة.
